At Sports Asia Foundation, we believe that the development of India’s sports sector is central to the overall economic growth and social wellbeing of our nation. With this overarching purpose, we are partnering with the United States Sports University — formerly the United States Sports Academy — a global leader in sports education, to offer high-quality post-secondary, non-degree certification programmes.

These programmes are taken forward through an agreement with the University and the Administrative Staff College of India.

Sport has long been one of the key economic drivers for nations around the world. The United Nations affiliated International Labour Organization, which has cooperated with the institution in this area, has found that besides formal education, sport is among the best activities for preparing young people to build productive lives in society as well as in the workplace.

We are glad to partner with the University, which has served as a leader in sports education around the world for more than five decades, with a reach extending to more than 67 countries. Its high-quality, sport-specific education courses are designed to meet the professional development needs of working professionals in India. Since its inception, the institution has leveraged its role and resources as a special-mission sports university to make a global impact through quality sports instruction, research and service. These contributions have varied in scope from the full-charge conduct of a nation’s entire national sporting effort to individual coaching clinics, seminars and symposia.

The union of Sports Asia Foundation, with its understanding of the needs of the Indian sports sector, and the University, with its understanding of international sports education and current professional practice, together promise to provide students enrolling in our cooperative programmes with the tools they need to succeed in this demanding field.
